THE ROLE:

If you are looking for an exciting career in embedded product marketing, then look no further. AMD is changing the landscape of the embedded market by continuing to introduce high performance compute solutions into embedded segments like industrial automation, healthcare, robotics and aerospace and defense among others. As a member of a dynamic and energetic AMD Embedded Marketing team, the Sr. Marketing Manager for Industrial Segments will be responsible for driving and expanding the adoption of AMD solutions into the industrial embedded segment.

THE PERSON:

You will drive customer interactions on a global basis. You will work collaboratively with the Sales, Silicon and Software Technology, Customer and Applications Engineering, and Product Management teams to develop winning strategies for the segment. Key performance metrics include design win, sell through and promotion effectiveness, revenue growth and segment gross margin.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer relationship and management from discovery, design win, to revenue
  • Request for Quote (RFQ) management to win business
  • AMD product value prop analysis and evangelization
  • Creating sell through/sell out activities and promotion
  • Assisting partners with joining promotional activities and training
  • Product pricing and negotiation
  • Generate and maintain segment marketing collateral
  • Drive customer specific design win strategies
  • Market segment strategy and business plan
  • Market trend analysis
  • Competitive and opportunity analysis
  • Create sales training material
  • Own legal contract process with customers
  • Create and maintain segment/customer MRDs. Work with product and engineering teams to ensure market/customer requirements flow through product and engineering requirements.
  • Help create outbound collateral as part of market development activities

PREFFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • The ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated who is excited to work in a fast-growing organization. Individual needs to have solution driven mentality to create win-win situations with customers.
  • Experience working with customers like Siemens, Advantech, Kontron, Beckhoff is a plus.
  • Extensive technology experience: x86 architecture and CPUs is a plus
  • Semiconductor experience preferred
  • Experience with taking customer engagements to production a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a strong sense of customer orientation
  • Willingness to travel

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred
  • MBA preferred
