EPI Power is hiring a talented and motivated Pre-Fabrication Foreman to join our recently opened state-of-the-art fabrication shop. The Pre-Fabrication Foreman will be responsible for overseeing a team of fabricators and assemblers in our fabrication shop in Des Moines, IA. Your primary focus will be ensuring that components are fabricated accurately, efficiently, and safely, in alignment with electrical drawings and jobsite specifications. You will also be responsible for mentoring your team and ensuring adherence to best practices in manufacturing principles. If you are organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment this could be a great fit for you.

What You'll Do:



  • Lead and supervise a team of fabricators and assemblers in the prefabrication of electrical components
  • Interpret and review electrical drawings to ensure components meet design and quality standards
  • Coordinate with project managers and job site supervisors to meet production and delivery schedules
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment in line with 5S and LEAN principles
  • Foster a positive and productive team atmosphere, promoting continuous improvement
  • Manage team performance, provide training, and mentor less experienced team members
  • Ensure accurate documentation of materials, schedules, and work completed
  • Monitor and manage inventory of materials and supplies to ensure efficiency and avoid delays
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and leadership regarding progress, challenges, and updates



What We're Looking For:



  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in a fabrication or assembly role
    • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
    • Experience with continuous improvement and manufacturing principles including 5S and LEAN


  • Skills:

    • Excellent knowledge of electrical drawings and the ability to read and interpret schematics
    • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication skills, leadership ability, and problem solving skills
    • High attention to detail and commitment to high quality work
    • Experience


  • Technology:




    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Ability to learn job-related software upon hire


  • Additional Requirements:

    • Willingness to work 40 - 50 hours per week
