How you will help us create value together:

As an IT Intern - Associate ServiceNow Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the Information Technology - Infrastructure team. Our team manages the key platforms that support the other parts of IT, including IT Service Management aka "ITSM" (incident, service request, change, problem, knowledge and asset management). This role immerses you on a DevOps team that designs, builds, and supports solutions for ITSM and enables other areas of the business within the ServiceNow Platform.

This position will be based onsite at our South Harbor location in Milwaukee's Harbor District. The target start date for this role is Summer 2025 and has potential to be extended into the Fall school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Develop dashboards, visualizations and reporting solutions for internal and external stakeholders using a variety of data visualization tools, including ServiceNow platform analytics for real-time data and workspace consumption.
  • Collaborate daily with a team of like-minded developers, admins, business analysts, and others using agile software development methodology.
  • Combine your passion with technical and problem-solving skills to deliver solutions and experiences that simplify, enhance, and/or automate manual processes.
  • Work in an agile environment where work is prioritized based on business value in 2-week sprints, including demos and releases.
  • Own what you build, ensure essential documentation such as design, integrations, and maintainability is captured and shared with the team.
  • Interact with other peer interns outside of your assigned team; be a student and teacher on leveraging ideas for innovation and bringing awareness to capabilities and the value of your work.


Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:



  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar, from an accredited college or university
  • Junior, Senior, or master's level student in good academic standing
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
  • Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
  • Experience with debugging and testing software through a CI/CD lifecycle.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot
  • Experience visualizing and mapping steps in a process, such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Service blueprinting, or simply in front of a white board
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or shared and reusable data models
  • An eye for design - it not only functions, but looks good
  • Interest in or aptitude to learn about careers in the heavy equipment industry
