Client Advisor

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wealth Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of sophisticated clients, providing expert financial advice, and delivering customized wealth management solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and a commitment to building and managing long-term client relationships.

The Wealth Advisor serves as the firm's primary point of contact for a select group of curated clients and is instrumental in also introducing new business development opportunities to the firm. In this critically important role, incumbents will work closely with all members of the Peapack Private Wealth Management team, as well as multiple other bank departments given our vast offering, to exceed client expectations. Wealth Advisors are expected to help grow Peapack's business through the efficient use of their time with clients, prospective clients, centers of influence and community involvement, while also making an invaluable contribution to the bank.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients, with an ability to understand their financial goals and objectives.
  • Provide comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services, including asset allocation, portfolio management, and risk management.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and performance analysis to ensure clients' investments align with their goals.
  • Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth and estate planning, credit and banking needs
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including investment analysts, tax advisors, and estate planners to deliver holistic financial solutions.
  • Stay informed about market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes to provide timely and relevant advice to clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Develop and manage existing client relationships, including ongoing regular client contact and communications.
  • Actively participate in the development of new business and networking opportunities.
  • Implementation of wealth management strategy and financial plan, including coordination of estate, trust, insurance and tax strategies.
  • Work with the firm's investment team and portfolio managers to incorporate clients' investment strategies with their planning objectives.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to extraordinary client service through professional excellence, the highest ethical standards, and the effective use of available resources.

  • Ability to articulate PGB vision as a boutique private bank with resources of a big firm.
  • Holistic approach to wealth management including investment management, trust, banking, planning, and tax capabilities.
  • A consistent discipline for giving client PGBs' best proactive thinking. Regularly assess and recommend changes based on clients evolving situation, changes to the market and/or tax environment.
  • Coordination of wealth plan with client's outside advisors (attorney, cpa and insurance agent).
  • Proven sales success and strong business acumen to win new business.
  • Commitment to doing what is right for client, not what sells.

Qualifications



  • Seven plus years of work experience in Private Banking, Wealth Advisory or Financial Services.
  • Bachelor's degree required - MBA, JD, CFA, CPWA or CFP preferred.
  • Community involvement and strong COI referral network.
  • Experience and familiarity with fiduciary mandates including trust and estate planning matters.
  • Proactive, takes initiative and uses critical thinking to solve problems.
  • Strong organizational skills and applies a discipline and organized approach throughout their business.
