Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is a division within Gartner tasked with increasing the 7,000+ sales force productivity by partnering with stakeholders across the business to design and implement innovative solutions that meet client retention and growth goals and deliver strong returns on resource investment. The team is focused on driving analytical, technology, and process improvement solutions to some of the company's most pressing challenges. This GVP, Marketing and Lead Generation is a key member of the GSSO leadership team responsible for core aspects of marketing and lead generation for Gartner Sales teams. In this role, you will develop strategy and drive innovation to significantly accelerate our Sales growth and improve the ROI across our marketing programs. As a critical partner to all client-facing groups, successful relationship building and stakeholder engagement are critical success drivers in this role. What You Will do * Create, execute and manage Gartner's global marketing strategy to support growth and retention goals by creating marketing programs targeted to develop new prospects, engage existing clients, and drive efficiencies and Sales growth. * Increase lead generation through optimizing digital marketing and field marketing platforms and business processes. * Create and articulate strategies to market Gartner products/services in the global marketplace * Drive EMEA, APAC and NA growth plans to include client retention, acquisition (NCVI); cross-sell & up-sell programs. * Optimize the capabilities and organizational design of the global team, fully leveraging various centers of excellence and geographies. * Create a highly engaged, aligned and productive culture focused on supporting the needs of our Sales organizations. Identify/leverage employee talents, hire/train candidates to fill key positions, set an expectation of excellence, and recognize and mentor high performers. * Rigorously evaluate the impact of marketing investments to understand the link between marketing spend and key outcomes. * Partner with the marketing analytics function to effectively and efficiently measure results, prioritizing investment into highest ROI activities. What You Will Need * 15+ years of sales and marketing strategy & operations experience, delivering improved revenue performance * BA or BSE in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or other analytical field with relevant work experience, MBA degree preferred. * Extensive experience in strategy formulation, business planning and strategy execution within a B2B environment * Ability to synthesize complex ideas into simple, concise value statements and core messages to drive increased revenue and increased market awareness * Comprehensive understanding of competitive markets and how to build/maintain marketing strategies to reach target markets * Expertise to create and execute a strategic communications plan for various stakeholders / audiences * Strategic leadership skills; ability to craft and articulate a clear, consistent vision and implement effective operating plans * Demonstrated ability to create quantitative based business analysis and develop clear business strategies. * Experience working in a matrixed organization * Strong analytical skills; ability to marry subject matter expertise and overall business context to make high quality decisions and prioritize appropriately. * Proven ability to leverage technology platforms in support of enhancing effectiveness and efficiency, as well as better engaging clients. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and gain consensus across a broad range of internal partners and stakeholders. * Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn, adapt, evolve and grow. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
