What You'll Do asa Unified Communications Administrator II:



  • Troubleshoot and resolve Unified Communications (UC) incidents, including voice and video challenges.
  • Manage and maintain Cisco UC endpoints and vendor-specific multi-level video teleconferencing systems.
  • Perform moves, adds, and changes (MACs) in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate on the installation of local and remote data and voice communication equipment.
  • Contribute to hardware refreshes and maintain security policies on Unified Communications systems.
  • Write and update operational documentation, including instructions for system usage.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and exceed expectations with every interaction.
  • Provide activity reports to managers and assist with periodic off-hours support as needed.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring to the Team:



  • An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • A STEM degree and at least 2 years of related experience

    • OR4-6 years of relevant experience and/or advanced certifications in lieu of degree


  • Active DoD 8140 IAT Level I or higher (e.g., A+ CE, Network+ CE, or SSCP) and

    • A commitment to earna DoD 8570 Computing Environment certification (e.g., CCNA Voice) within 6 months of hire.


  • Experience with Cisco UC technologies, including CUCM (v11.5+), Cisco VTC codecs, VoIP endpoints, and Telepresence Management Server.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel (up to 10% annually) and provide support outside standard work hours when needed.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
