Job Description: Safely executes field craft operations (i.e. field mechanical work, miscellaneous maintenance, construction, etc.), consistent with standard acceptable practices for such work. Work may involve heavy physical labor, various mechanical equipment operations and use of hand tools in a professional craftsman like manner, while ensuring work is performed in compliance with contract specifications. Responsible for performing inspection duties at various stages of project operations for code and contract specification compliance. Three (3) years of experience in heavy equipment operations. Five (5) years of general carpentry experience preferred. In addition to operating loaders, excavators, dozer (material handling/grading), the candidate will have experience with hydraulic sheers, screeners and hoe-rams. Maintaining and operating various types of heavy construction and demolition equipment such as dozers, excavators, backhoes, loaders, rollers/compactors, trenchers, trucks/tractors, forklifts in a safe and efficient manner and adjust equipment as necessary. This position will perform other field related functions as assigned by superintendent or foreman. Must be willing to travel 100% of the time. Must belong to Carpenters Local Union 50.
