Job Title: Material & Equipment Coordinator

About the Role:

The Material & Equipment Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and efficient handling of medical device products and capital equipment. Operating under supervisory direction, this individual supports various logistics and assembly functions, including the refurbishment of medical devices, inspection and maintenance of capital equipment, and general warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:




  1. Refurbishment of Medical Devices:



    • Manage the entire process of receiving, cleaning, converting, and storing refurbished NFHU medical device products.
    • Perform refurbishment tasks using simple tools, fixtures, and go/no-go gauges, following assembly work instructions (WIs).



  2. Capital Equipment Management:



    • Coordinate the shipping, receiving, inspection, and functional verification of endoscopy capital and ancillary equipment (e.g., models, scopes, processors).
    • Troubleshoot basic equipment issues or schedule repairs as necessary.



  3. Warehouse Logistics Support:



    • Collaborate with the Logistics and Materials Management team during peak times to support end-to-end shipping operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and organizing inventory.
    • Assist with general warehouse operations as required.



  4. Process Improvement and Quality:



    • Build quality into all aspects of work by ensuring compliance with company policies and quality requirements.
    • Participate in team projects to develop process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures that enhance efficiency and quality.



  5. Administrative and Technical Tasks:



    • Use computers proficiently for confirmations, issuing materials, and printing labels.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for material handling and equipment inspections.




Essential Qualifications:




  • Education:



    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.



  • Experience:



    • 1+ years of experience in a logistics, warehouse, or medical device-related role.
    • Familiarity with medical devices, inspection, and equipment refurbishment is preferred.



  • Skills and Competencies:



    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
    • Proficient computer skills for material documentation and inventory management.
    • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment handling and repair coordination.
