23874BR Building Supervisor III- Readvertisement Justice High Description Serves as a building supervisor in a high school; supervises custodial staff and participates in the full range of cleaning, maintenance, operation, and security activities; oversees custodial training program for assigned staff. Qualifications Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate. Two (2) years of experience in public building custodial operations, one (1) year of which shall have been in a custodial personnel oversight or supervisory role. Must successfully complete the FCPS Custodial Certification Course prior to or within one (1) year of appointment. May be required to work an evening and/or night shift on a regular or rotating basis. Knowledge of custodial methods, equipment, procedures, and cleaning materials. Ability to train, assign, supervise, and inspect the work of assigned staff. Ability to understand and interpret written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain records and prepare routine reports. Ability to recognize and report hazards and apply safe work methods. Ability to work cooperatively with employees, students, and the public. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
