IT Auditor I, II or III

Are you a great communicator with an eye for detail and strong financial operations experience? Are you versed in internal controls, fraud indicators, regulatory compliance, and data gathering? We are seeking an IT Auditor to analyze the integrity of operating controls for our information technology systems. You will be reviewing cybersecurity preparedness processes to ensure conformance to standards, regulatory compliance and established policies.

What your day may include:

  • Performing audit analysis
  • Engaging in the annual risk assessment of the audit universe and risk rating tracking
  • Contributing to the creation and execution of the annual audit plan
  • Participating in quarterly internal Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs) as required by the IIA's Global Internal Audit Standards
  • Auditing Information Technology and Information Security areas
  • Identifying and assessing risk exposures, collecting and examining evidentiary data and formulates audit programs
  • Applying critical thinking and decision-making skills throughout the auditing process:
  • Developing and tailoring audit programs by evaluating the unique risks and controlling pertinent to each audit engagement
  • Employing a systematic approach to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data, ensuring comprehensive coverage of audit objectives
  • Executing the annual audit strategy priorities as they are communicated to the Supervisory Committee
  • Making informed and strategic recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of internal controls and mitigate identified risks
  • Interpreting and applying federal regulations, state RCW, WAC, WSECU internal polices and industry frameworks to determine compliance
  • Identifying potential risks and inefficiencies within the organization and developing recommendations to mitigate them
  • Preparing and presenting comprehensive audit reports that clearly communicate compliance adherence, audit results, supporting evidence, and actionable recommendations for management and the Supervisory Committee
  • Providing support for Third Party audits and DFI/NCUA examinations
  • Performing other audit projects as assigned:
    • Reviews employee PRM alerts daily
    • Conducts weekly InfoSec reviews
    • Attends change management meetings and communicates key updates to the team

For IT Auditor I:

Competitive pay: $29.71- $44.56 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits

  • The target starting pay for this position is $29.71 - $37.13 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
  • Three (3) years financial institution experience and operational experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows applications, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Significant experience in financial institutions and operations is essential
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Previous auditing experience with a knowledge of NIST, FFIEC, and NCUA's ACET frameworks(preferred)
  • Background in information security and/or information technology through education, certification, or experience (preferred)

For IT Auditor II:

Competitive pay: $34.06 - $51.09 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits

  • The target starting pay for this position is $34.06 - $42.57 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
  • Two (2) years of internal auditing experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in a financial institution and operational experience
  • Strong experience in financial institutions and operational roles is essential
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Windows applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Extensive knowledge of NIST, FFIEC, and NCUA's ACET frameworks (preferred)

For IT Auditor III:

Competitive pay: $39.42 - $59.14 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits

  • The target starting pay for this position is $39.42 - $49.28 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Science or a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Five (5) years of internal auditing experience
  • Seven (7) years of experience in a financial institution
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Windows applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation
  • Strong customer service skills

Extensive knowledge of NIST, FFIEC and NCUA's ACET frameworks is required

**WSECU is currently hiring an IT Auditor I II, or III depending on qualifications**

  • The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.

Where we're located: 330 Union Ave SE Olympia, WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a work from home/hybrid position with the exception of occasional on-site training, meetings and specific organization events.

Working from home/hybrid requirements:

  • Reliable, high-speed home internet connection
  • Private, confidential workspace, away from distractions and other people
  • Suitable desk/surface and desk chair

When you'd work: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm full time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility required to meet business needs
