Here at Professional Services Group, we are a community-based social services organization seeking a new Therapist to join us in our mission of supporting individuals and families to achieve their greatest potential through dynamic and innovative programming that is responsive to the needs of diverse communities.

JOB SUMMARY:

Our programming provides services to families who are at-risk for abuse, neglect, truancy, and/or youth justice involvement. Our team strives to preserve the family, reduce out-of-home placements, and aid in reunification. Parent Mentors, Therapists, Youth Support Specialists, and Substance Abuse Counselors provide collaborated services to families to address such issues including, but not limited to: mental health, alcohol/other drug abuse, parenting, and family conflict.

The Therapist provides in-home individual and/or family clinical therapy to referred youth and their families to stabilize and strengthen the family unit using evidence-based practices, including Circle of Security Parenting, Functional Family Therapy, The Seven Challenges, and Parent-Interaction Therapy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE THERAPIST:



  • Assess the therapeutic needs of clients and complete formal assessments.
  • Formulate, implement, evaluate, and review client treatment plans.
  • Counsel clients and families in accordance with the treatment plan.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill in addressing family system, mental health, parenting, and alcohol/drug issues through individual, family, and/or group counseling.
  • Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities.
  • Safely transport clients as needed.


LOCATION: Kenosha, WI. Position may work on-site at the office and/or out in the community visiting with clients. Some flexibility for hybrid/remote when client sessions are not scheduled. Must be able to meet in-person with clients located in Kenosha County, Wisconsin.

SALARY: $50,000 annually

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related.
  • State Licensure is not required.
