The Warehouser - loading position is responsible for assuring the safe, efficient, and timely completion of all warehousing functions within the Loading Department. This position has the responsibility to ensure timely execution of vital warehouse functions to meet all aftermarket customer demands. Must be able to follow the shipping schedule, normal work flow, and ensure work is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Must have strong organizational and communication skills. This candidate must be able to complete assignments designated by the department Supervisor. Perform functions within Company safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
* Bring positive attitude daily to the workplace
* Follow direction from supervisor and lead to achieve departmental targets* Meet performance standards set for loading team
* Prioritize activities and take necessary actions to meet Distribution Center targets
* Ensure safety, quality and housekeeping standards are met daily
* Meet targeted metrics for established shipping schedules
* Help ensure that all vital loading functions are executed on a daily basis
* Constantly monitor environment looking for risk areas
* Follows "Safety First" is a way of life attitude
* Performs overall coordination of all in-house emergency matters
* Carry out daily warehouse workload
* Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse area
* Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to immediate Supervisor
* Ensure all warehouse functions follow written procedures
* Perform other duties as required or directed
* Follow prescribed safety regulations / guidelines
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience in a warehouse/distribution environment
- At least 1 year warehousing/distribution experienceBasic computer skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Basic knowledge of and/or experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems
- Knowledge of carrier/transportation procedures
- Required to read, write and comprehend English
- Ability to bend, lift (Up to 50 lbs), and stand for extended periods of time
- Forklift knowledge and previous experience
