Overview

The Quality Specialist will be responsible for implementing industry best practices and providing oversight in the area of quality for our contract sites. The position will include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning the quality initiatives at GCE's contract sites.

This position works directly with quality and operations leadership to understand the lines of business needs; understands both the quality assurance and quality control functions related to the respective lines of business; works with the contract site leadership to ensure both internal and external quality requirements are met. This role understands quality principles and, in conjunction with operations leadership, implements corrective actions and/or performance improvement initiatives. It also provides recommendations to the operations leadership team based on quality audit findings and uses established procedures and works independently to support objectives.

This position requires a frequent onsite presence in the field; as such, the individual will be required to travel to contract site locations across the United States

Role Requirements

Education & Experience Requirement:

  • * Education:
    • Must have an Associate's degree in a related field. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • * Experience:
    • Must have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience, to include conducting audits.
  • * Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • * Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, strength in addressing group audiences a plus.
  • * Must have strong collaboration skills to work with a diverse set of internal customers.

Physical Requirements:

While performing this job's duties, the team member is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Vision requirements include close and classroom vision, and:

  • Must be able to operate office equipment.
  • Must have the ability to focus on details and resist distractions.
  • Long periods of sitting may be required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
