HX5 is currently seeking a Program Manager to assist the Aerospace Enabler Division at Hill Air Force Base, located in Ogden, Utah.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic support to senior leadership, including the Senior Material Leader/Director and Deputy Director, to drive decision-making and operational excellence.
  • Developing and recommending innovative solutions to complex problems and identifying alternative courses of action to drive progress and improvement.
  • Serving as a liaison and communications expert, effectively conveying information and ideas to diverse stakeholders, including external parties, senior leaders (O-6 and Flag Officer/General Officer levels), and public affairs offices, through both verbal and written communications.
  • Designing and delivering comprehensive briefings, documents, plans, and training programs to large audiences (50+), ensuring clear and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Coordinating and supporting high-level meetings and reviews, including program management reviews, senior-level meetings, Stakeholders Meetings (O-6 level), and Senior Management Forums, to ensure seamless execution and effective communication.
  • Managing external and internal suspense's from initiation to completion, ensuring timely, accurate, grammatically correct, and effective execution.
  • Applying Agile principles and methodologies to drive flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Independently developing and prioritizing objectives, key results, and actions to drive success and achievement.
  • Demonstrating a deep understanding of systems acquisition and program management principles, policies, and practices, as outlined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75, as well as the roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force.
  • Utilizing qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs, and identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Education / Additional Experience Preferred:

  • 7 years of directly related staff (major command, field command, Army command, A-staff/S-staff/G-staff) experienceOR,
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 3 years of directly related staff (major command, field command, Army command, A-staff/S-staff/G-staff) experience
  • Experience briefing documents, presentations, or opinions/recommendations to senior staff
  • 3-5 yrs Task Management Tool experience
  • 3-5 yrs experience with Microsoft Tools such as Teams, Microsoft Applications, Office Suite
  • Desired Skills
    • Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an expert in Air Force/U.S. Space Force acquisitions.
    • 5 yrs Space acquisition or sustainment experience
    • Confluence and Jira experience
    • Retired or separated field grade officer or senior noncommissioned officer (E-8 or E-9) with staff experience
    • Prior experience in a Commander's Action Group, Director's Action Group, or Executive Officer

Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
