Christman Facility Solutions is looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Manager in our Dallas, Texas region. This role is responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of multiple large, complex projects.

What You Will Do:

As Senior Mechanical Project Manager, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:



  • Serves as the primary point of contact with clients, and oversees all aspects of the project including financial management, change management, scheduling, conflict resolution and contractor relations.
  • Manages the Preconstruction and Construction phases of assigned projects.
  • Assists in the development of project procurement documents for various delivery methods.
  • Oversees the cost/change management process from start to finish for assigned projects.
  • Compares assessment of client needs to contractual obligations and delivery professional management services by Christman Facility Solutions team and all contracted trades, vendors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure that proper service is provided to the client.
  • Partners with Design Team to coordinate delivery of design packages with schedules for estimating, bidding, and construction.
  • Allocates project resources based on project demands, and adjusts resource needs throughout the project life cycle.
  • Establishes subcontract agreements and work scopes for all trade contractors and communicates expectations and responsibilities related to project planning, coordination with other trades, safety, and proactive definition of work quality.
  • Executes contractual risk protections by determining Builder's Risk Insurance approach for the project (Owner or Christman provided) and ensures required coverage amounts and dates.
  • Coordinates team leadership, emphasizing safety as the top priority on the project requiring constant attention of all workers to eliminating and mitigating hazardous conditions on the site and preventing hazardous actions and discuss at every job progress meeting.
  • Models safety awareness and planning at all times, observe safety practices on site and promptly address any unsafe situations or behaviors, reporting violations and coordinating corrective actions to the project superintendent.
  • Requires accurate and complete reports from Christman Facility Solutions staff and involved trade contractors following an incident or accident.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agencies with jurisdiction over projects.
  • Partners with governing authorities responsible for inspections and approvals to proactively understand requirements and potential concerns, and develop plans to fulfill or exceed standards.
  • Establishes work and authority scopes for all project team members and trade contractors and communicates expectations and responsibilities related to project planning, coordination with other trades, safety, and proactive definition of work quality.
  • Coordinates information access and sharing across project team members to keep all team members informed or current project status.
  • Manages conflict and disputes that may arise during the course of the project, focusing all parties on developing mutually acceptable solutions aligned with the contractual agreements.
  • Promotes development of knowledge base, leadership skills, and partnership for project team members by modeling effective performance, encouraging discussion and debate over solutions and approaches, connecting project team member with learning opportunities and other team members who could serve as mentors, and prompting team members to recognize challenges early and plan ahead for important project activities.
  • Provides motivational and constructive feedback to team members regarding the impact of their efforts on the project's success including impressions being created with other team members, and contributions to the quality of relationships being developed within the team.
  • Provides on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals and adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Sets and continually manages project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders.


What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:



  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or other relevant course work.
  • Ten (10) or more years of work experience in construction or a related job field.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • -or- equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.


Preferred experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:



  • Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or other related fields.
  • OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 training preferred.

  • Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction project management software.
  • Ability to work well with supervision and peers.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Work environment and physical demands: The majority of work is completed outside at the construction site, and in an office trailer where the project is monitored and daily decisions are made about construction activities. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires protective equipment when on the construction site (hardhats, safety glasses, and high visibility clothing). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, tolerate heights, able to talk and hear others speaking, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and to operate a computer keyboard and phone while maintaining visual acuity. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and 25 pounds constantly.

Expected Hours of Work: Full time position, with occasional extended hours and weekends.

Travel: Must have reliable transportation. Travel to and from the construction site is required, majority of the work will be done at the site. Most of the travel will be local, but some long distance and overnight travel may be required.
