Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
  • Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Prepares and enters accounting entries for monthly financial statement, including review and correcting if necessary.
  • Prepares general ledger reconciliation.
  • Assist in monthly closings.
  • Enters non-purchase order accounts payable invoices into computer system for payment.
  • Assist materials department with purchasing functions as required.
  • Maintains fixed asset records.
  • Oversee preparation of non-exempt payroll each week including payroll changes, deductions, check printing, etc.
  • Completes spreadsheet on payroll expenses to record information for accounting purposes.
  • Maintains records on garnishments and 401K loans.
  • Performs receptionist duties on a limited basis.
  • Performs variety of clerical and data processing duties.
  • Looks for opportunity to get employees involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
  • To follow all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
  • Shut down process if unsafe
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  1. Must be dependable and self-motivated.
  2. Must possess good communication skills.
  3. Be able to contribute to and support the existence of a positive work environment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough working knowledge of data processing systems (PCs) and related software.
  • Must attend, complete, and implement required in-house training.
Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 1-3 employees in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Salary Range: $82,000-$99,000
