Your Role

BeaconMedaes is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join our team. As a member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing accounting tasks including general accounting and reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, process improvement, fleet management, and other special projects as assigned. This role reports to the VP Business Controller. The position is based in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Responsibilities include the following:

General Accounting & Reporting

* Act as lead accountant and direct the Compressor Technique (CT) Shared Service team with month end closings and Group Reporting (GPS).

* Review the monthly balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the CT Shared Service team and propose adjustments as required before Controller approval.

* Review transactions, postings, and financial results on a daily/weekly/monthly basis in SAP as required.

* Prepare journal entries to be posted by CT Shared Service team.

* Review and approve all manual journal entries monthly.

* Manage the fixed asset and IFRS16 additions and disposals according to IFRS.

* Prepare tax packages and annual reports for North American Holding Company and Group Accounting.

* Act as liaison for intercompany accounts and oversee the reconciliations with the CT Shared Service team.

* Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis requests as directed by management.

Accounts Payable

* Prepare and process commission reports.

* Review and approve new vendor accounts, including employee expense reimbursement accounts as business key user.

* Review, code, and approve vendor invoices in AP invoice processing system (Esker).

* Assist in resolving vendor account and payment conflicts.

* Review GR/IR reconciliations (Goods Received/Invoice Received) and propose any aged differences as financial adjustments.

* Maintain material purchase prices and standard costs in SAP.

Accounts receivable

* Assist Accounts Receivable with customer refunds and bank deposits.

* Manage and resolve any invoices and credits in error that are not able to be posted in SAP.

Process improvement

* Recommend and implement changes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting and financial reporting process.

* Recommend and implement reporting on key performance indicators to help monitor the service business, such as WIP, service hours and utilization.

Fleet Management

* Serve as the Company's fleet administrator, including ordering of fleet vehicles, monitoring maintenance and registration, fuel cards, vehicle change-out, and vehicle returns.

Special projects

* Lead and implement Group Accounting updates to ensure company practices follow IFRS.

* Assist with implementation of company acquisitions and provide incremental reporting for first 24 months after acquisition date.

* Additional special projects as assigned by VP Finance/Business Controller or President/General Manager.

The Senior Accountant is expected to take appropriate actions to get the job done. Speed and accuracy are key to the success to this job. The Senior Accountant performs all duties in accordance with BeaconMedaes standards and IFRS, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. The job holder should be an example of a proactive, positive role model, taking seasoned, measured action deemed appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish and maintain communication with all necessary people/ employees.

Experience

* Two or more years of financial experience in a large corporate environment with previous work in accounting and financial analysis.

Education

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Master's degree and CPA preferred.

Skills

* Ability to detect and solve problems quickly is the key to the success of this position

* Experience with ERP system, knowledge in SAP is a plus.

* Advanced skills with MS Excel required

* Broad knowledge of business case analysis, KPI's, dashboard reporting and revenue/expense/capital analysis

* Excellent written and verbal skills required

* Strong interpersonal skills required

* Highly organized and self-directed/ disciplined

* Positive attitude and embrace change

* High level of integrity

Travel

* The job would require travels on specific case, such attending a training, seminar, company activities, and acquisition implementations.
