About This Role

The Administrative Support Center (ASC) Human Resources team is seeking applicants for a Human Resources Representative to provide department-level coordination in human resource activities and functions. Duties include but are not limited to:



  • Managing human resource activities for units supported by the Administrative Service Center - Human Resources team to ensure compliance with applicable university, state and federal laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Understanding, interpreting, and communication policies, procedures, and information to supported unit leadership and employees.
  • Supporting the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding.
  • Accurately completing forms and paperwork, managing position funding, and overseeing staff performance management processes.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete employee files.
  • Assisting with special projects in support of departments and the university as requested.
  • Providing leadership in creating a culture of excellence and customer service in the ASC-HR.


About Us

The Administrative Support Center-HR team is a part of a shared services center providing budget, financial and administrative human resources services to central administrative units. The Administrative Support Center-HR (ASC-HR) team currently serves over 45 administrative and academic departments across campus where they work closely with directors and department heads to create streamlined HR policies and procedures with the purpose of identifying process improvements, promote staff development, and find areas for increased efficiency. The ASC-HR team regularly supports customer departments with the coordination of employee recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, time and leave and payroll. Their primary goals are to provide excellent customer service and to build a culture of subject matter expertise to benefit our customers.


Worksite Option

This position is eligible for hybrid worksite. Work is performed partially remote and partially on employer premises or designated assignment location. This role is expected to be performed on-site approximately three (3) days a week.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma and three years of relevant experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in human resources.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in human resources and/or payroll.
  • Experience in data entry, payroll, recruitment, human resources, and customer service.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to determine priorities, exercise sound judgment and work independently.
  • Willingness to learn new software, to develop additional skills, and to engage in professional development.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and uphold confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated background or knowledge of human resource processes and policies.


Other Requirements:



  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
