Front-End Software Engineer (Cloud Application)

100% Remote (with light travel)- Must reside in the DC, MD, VA region and willing /able to travel to the NIH facility to pick up equipment, PIV card, etc.)

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance (Public Trust Clearance - 2-3 week process)


We are seeking a 100% Remote Programmer to support our client on an NIH program. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand their problems and design and implement solutions. They will also work closely with program managers and business analysts to develop end-to-end workflows and applications that ensure effective budget management and compliance with federal regulations.


Responsibilities:



  • Define and implement front-end development strategies that align with project goals.
  • Collaborate with team members to review and refine design and architecture decisions, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Prioritize UI/UX considerations, understanding how technical decisions impact user experience.
  • Gather and document user requirements to create clear, actionable technical specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with government clients, program managers, and finance teams to ensure project alignment and clarity.
  • Maintain compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.


Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in front-end application development with low-code/no-code platforms
  • Knows concepts, best practices and methodologies to ultimately understand how to use low-code/no-code tools for development
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate development and simplify workflows
  • Experiecne working with TypeScript and JavaScript for front-end development, with understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
  • Ability to work in an Agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot code effectively, with strong problem-solving skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or equivalent work experience.


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience developing in low-code/no-code platforms like Palantir Foundry Microsoft PowerApps, Appian, Salesforce Lightning, Oracle APEX, ServiceNow, and others
  • Certification in cloud technologies, web development, or specific cloud platforms.
  • Experience working with federal health and research agencies like NIH, CDC, and FDA.
  • Familiarity with government accounting systems and procedures.
  • Understanding of the Grants process and CR (Continung Resolution)
