This position is eligible for an incentive program of $25 per Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) policy and Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP) policy sold on vehicle loans. Summary: The Branch Manager I is responsible for the overall management and administration of a credit union branch. This includes ensuring exceptional member service, driving sales and growth initiatives, managing branch staff, and overseeing daily operations. The Branch Manager plays a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, achieving financial targets, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Branch Operations:
- Oversee daily operations of the branch to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Ensure the branch complies with all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage branch security, including cash handling, vault access, and fraud prevention measures.
- Member Service:
- Ensure high standards of member service are consistently delivered by all branch staff.
- Resolve complex member issues and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Engage with members to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Sales and Business Development:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve branch targets and drive growth.
- Promote credit union products and services, including loans, deposits, and investment options.
- Analyze market trends and community needs to identify opportunities for business development.
- Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate branch staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Address staffing needs and ensure appropriate coverage for branch operations.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the branch's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
- Monitor key financial metrics, such as loan portfolio performance, deposit growth, and profitability.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all branch activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and credit union policies.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior among branch staff.
- Administrative Duties:
- Oversee branch administrative functions, including scheduling, reporting, and inventory management.
- Maintain accurate records of member interactions, transactions, and branch activities.
- Complete organizational special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Community Engagement:
- Represent the credit union in community events and activities to enhance its visibility and reputation.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders.
- Promote credit union services and initiatives to foster community involvement and member growth.
- Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the credit union's strategic goals and initiatives.
- Analyze branch performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement action plans to achieve branch objectives.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, financial services, or credit union operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of credit union products, services, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in sales and member service with a track record of achieving targets.
- Proven track record in meeting operational efficiency and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
Interpersonal Skills A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position.
