Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join our team to oversee, implement, and improve our integrity management programs of natural gas and hazardous liquid pipelines, our internal risk algorithm, and performing technical analyses. Duties include:

  • Owner of Integrity Assessment Plan for IMP and non-IMP assessments, support Integrity Field Specialists.
  • Update IMP segments following GIS HCA changes.
  • Schedule ILI inspections, assess inspection technologies, analyze data, and ensure follow-up actions.
  • Scope pressure test parameters and certify test results.
  • Scope direct assessments and low stress reassessments, validate results with Corrosion Team.
  • Prepare and submit post-assessment reports, such as P&M's, and any agency notifications related to inspection results.
  • Responsible for QA/QC for Texas Risk Integrity Inspections.
  • Perform tabletop studies, such as PHAST dispersion, non-HVL spill modeling, EFRD/RMV/MLBV placement, surge and seismic studies.
  • Perform risk gap analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks; improve gaps through integration of inspection results and other asset data.
  • Update risk model with data from new assets.
  • Help transition from RIPL to probabilistic model.
  • P&M's (Preventive and Mitigative Measures) for Pipelines, UGS, and Facilities.
  • Leak Detection compliance on existing and new assets.
  • Assist Business Development and Asset Engineering through M&A Due Diligence integrity reviews, providing integrity cost estimates for new build or Conversion to Service projects, and performing CTS/FFS Studies to assess pipelines fitness-for-service.
  • Conduct flow modeling TSA to identify low-flow areas and chemical program needs.
  • Validate Pipeline Maximum Operating Pressure (MOP) and Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) as required.
  • TVC Material Verification, integration of results.
  • Supporting IMP-related audits, when required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in pipeline integrity management, with a focus on regulatory compliance in the oil and gas industry.
  • Advanced computer skills, a background/experience with risk models, and the ability to quickly learn new applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present technical information clearly and concisely.
