Overview / Job Summary:

The Simulation Lab Coordinator is responsible for assisting with clinical simulation activities by providing technical support required to operate the simulation mannequins for WSU Tech.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as a point of contact and collaborates with other entities and institutions that utilize WSU Tech's simulation (SIM) hospital/equipment for regular use and special events
  • Ensures weekly skills lab(s) scenarios are in place and operational for clinical scenarios
  • Assists in inter-disciplinary/program simulations and college-wide simulation day
  • Programs simulation mannequins in compliance with the manufacturer's software and standards
  • Schedules software updates and repairs or upgrades of simulators and other hardware with external vendors
  • Organizes the SIM hospital and control room to help maintain efficiency and functionality
Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma, required.
  • Associate's degree, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • One year of experience technical experience with simulation, preferred
  • Knowledge of proper handling and set up of mannequins and all Microsoft Office products and programs
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Ability to fulfill all duties with minimal supervision and to work independently
  • Assess situations rapidly and make logical decisions in a timely manner
  • Analyze facts and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and multiple priorities simultaneously
