Duties will also require cooks to set up their station or stand with the proper utensils. They are also responsible for making sure that food is fresh and of the best quality. Cooks are also responsible for properly setting up their workstation, cleaning throughout the shift, storing product properly, cooler/freezer organization and temp logs, and cleaning their station at the end of the shift. Shift Duties * Check in with Chef to receive prep list for the day. * Set your work station with cutting board, knife, and sanitizer bucket towels. * Fill out proper safety and sanitation sheets based on areas * Check to see if all of your food products are here, if not inform the chef so we can work on getting in the product. * Remove any products that are frozen to be thawed under running water or refrigeration. * Turn on equipment based on business needs. Report any problems with equipment to chef. * Prep items based on prep lists. * Keep all food stored properly. * Keep your work areas clean. * Check with chef for any extra prep. * Wrap, label and date all remaining food. * Store items according to FIFO. * Clean prep area including wiping down work tables, sweeping and mopping. * Take cutting board, spoons, bowls, etc. to the dishwasher. * Empty sanitation bucket. * Clean and remove knives and place into knife rack. * Check out with a chef before the end of the shift to ensure your work area is up to standard * Return all towels and aprons to the uniform room. * Exchange worn uniform for next day uniform. Team member must remove chef jacket/apron * prior to leaving work and scan out at the time clock afterwards. * Exit through Gate 8 on event days and Gate 4 on non-event days. Apply to Levy today!
