Salary Grade: T26 Learn more about the "T" salary structure here: https://careers.temple.edu/sites/careers/files/documents/T_Salary_Structure.pdf Job Summary: The Assistant Director of Community Relations in Klein College is responsible for working with external constituencies in recruitment, enrollment and retention of individuals and organizations and managing the community partnerships and programs as a member of the Office of Communication, Community and Events (OCCE). The Assistant Director proposes, plans and advises on communication and public education initiatives of the College and The Civic Coalition to Save Lives (the Coalition). While reporting to the Assistant Dean of Community and Communication, they will provide operational support to the Assistant Dean in managing all matters of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, including management of the office and activities of the Academic Center for Research in Diversity (ACCORD) for which the Assistant Dean serves as Director. Additionally, initiating, planning and managing joint activities and initiatives between Temple University, Klein College and the Coalition, for which the Assistant Dean also serves as Executive Director. The Assistant Director will represent the organization in key community settings including the launch of Klein's Center for Community Engaged Media, the Klein Community Advisory Board and Klein Diversity Advisory Committee. The position will also represent Klein College on the University's Diversity Collaborative. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Public Relations or Journalism and four years' experience in community outreach.
