Who You Are...

As Shared Services Manager - Supplier Relations, you will oversee all aspects of the company's accounts payable and downstream contract functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoice and subcontract processing, vendor payments, and contractual standards by managing a staff of team leaders, coordinators, and/or administrators to drive efficiency, continuous improvements, and best practices with collaboration of other departments.

Some examples of the work you might do includes:



  • Manage, mentor, and hire accounts payable coordinators, downstream contract administrators, and team leaders by assigning tasks, providing coaching, evaluating performance, and recruiting/onboarding new staff.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships by resolving invoice discrepancies and negotiating payment terms.
  • Implement and manage accounts payable software systems, ensuring data integrity and efficient workflow while monitoring system functionality and identifying areas for system enhancements.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to proactively identify irregularities in trends while proactively working with senior management for resolution.
  • Perform and ensure adherence to month-end closing processes, company policies, GAAP standards, and SOX controls.
  • Foster a culture of efficiency and accuracy within the team by identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Support the acquisition team to efficiently transition newly acquired business units into the shared services processes with minimal disruption to their day to day operations.


What You Need...



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field AND 3 + years of relevant, job-related experience, OR 6+ years of relevant, job-related leadership experience (without a degree).
  • Advanced level of technical proficiency and willingness to learn business-specific systems.
  • Must be organized, attentive to detail, and able to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to maintain quality of work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Capacity to resolve problems independently/under limited supervision.
  • This position may require up to 5% travel, primarily for company-sponsored events.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced education in an accounting related field.
  • Prior experience with Viewpoint software.

Work Environment:



  • This position operates in a professional office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, printers, and scanners.
  • The Company's "Work from Home" policy is applicable to this position.


Physical Demands:



  • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • This is considered a sedentary position, which means possible exertion up to ten (10) pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
