Principal Process Engineer

Position Summary:

As a Principal Process Engineer, at the TEL Technology Center, America (TTCA) you will lead the exploration of cutting-edge Design-Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) and System-Technology Co-Optimization (STCO) concepts to enhance the Process, Performance, Area, and Cost (PPAC) of advanced logic systems. Your role involves generating valuable intellectual property (IP) based on innovative concepts and utilizing simulation-based platforms to identify and select viable ideas for implementation within TEL Corporate

You will collaborate within TEL to establish capabilities supporting new DTCO/STCO concepts, driving forward-thinking initiatives by integrating newly developed processing capabilities. Additionally, you will work closely with industry partners to incorporate new hardware, materials, and unit processes into appropriate test vehicles. Your expertise will extend to developing new test modules and enhancing industry-accessible test vehicles in collaboration with industry partners.

An essential aspect of your role will be the analysis of electrical test data to identify and correct issues, ensuring model validation. Furthermore, you will play a pivotal role in bringing developed concepts to customers for consideration, fostering collaborative relationships, and driving the adoption of innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

* Explore new DTCO / STCO concepts for PPAC improvement of advanced logic and explore new device architectures.

* Generate IP based on concepts

* Utilize a simulation-based platform to down-select viable concepts for TEL Corporate

* Work within TEL to generate capability to support new DTCO / STCO concepts and work backwards to take newly developed processing capability to foster new DTCO / STCO concepts.

* Work with industry partners to incorporate new hardware / materials / unit processes onto appropriate test vehicles.

* Work with industry partners to develop new test modules to incorporate into industry-accessible test vehicles

* Analyze electrical test data to correct for problems and validate models. Bring concepts to customers for consideration.

* Work with corporate R&D to provide an internal roadmap on likely logic technology progression over the next 10 years as well as possible major branches from the roadmap.

Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in an engineering discipline such as Electrical engineering, Material science, Chemistry, Physics or related with 15 or more years' experience.
  • 12 years of relevant experience required
  • Semiconductor device knowledge is required.
  • Advanced semiconductor processing fundamentals or experience is required.
  • Experience in clean room environment
  • The flexibility and ability to work both independently with limited supervision as well as part of a team.
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Individual must be able to work in a multicultural team.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills are preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.

Salary Ranges$163,774.98 - $203,325.01

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
