The minimum and maximum projected annualized salary for this position is: $96,818 and $161,364. Additional compensation may be possible based on experience and skills.

We understand the need to be creative and flexible when it comes to telecommuting and other alternative work arrangements. This position is eligible for our hybrid remote work and will work in the Bethesda, MD office four days per week.



Responsibilities

The Commercial Credit Underwriter IV underwrites new and existing commercial loans through analysis of borrower's credit history, financial performance, current market trends, collateral, and feasibility. Spreads and analyzes financial statements, real estate spreadsheets, tax returns, A/R & A/P agings and proformas/forecasts for C&I, SBA, B2B loan requests. The Commercial Credit Underwriter IV will be assigned the largest and most complex deals and assist with smaller deals as required. The number of analyst tasks will be greater and the degree of difficulty will be the highest versus peers in level I through III. Supports Lending Department by providing personal and business credit reports, property values based on third party data and industry analysis as needed.

The Lending Team is divided by region, with a Market Executive leading each of our teams. The core competency of the bank's lenders runs to all types of businesses, including government contracting, non-profits, bond financing for schools and other organizations, healthcare, and professional service firms.



Qualifications

Requirements:

    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field required in lieu of 3 additional years of experience in commercial credit, financial statement analysis and formal credit training.
  • 7 years commercial credit and financial statement analysis; performing narrative financial summaries or loan analysis; in-house or formal credit training counts towards one year.
  • General working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Training in financial spreading software.
  • Knowledge of credit process and underwriting guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong logic and math skills.

Preferences:

  • 2 years commercial real estate credit experience.
  • Completion of Formal Credit Training.
