What you'll be doing...
As a Senior Network Assurance Manager, you will lead teams of Service Assurance Engineers supporting incident management activities in a multi-customer service center in direct support of US Public Sector and Enterprise customers. You will manage a 24x7x365 Service Assurance team responsible for ticket management, triage and restoration of issues related to Verizon's unmanaged product suite.

In this role you will...

  • Have ownership of continuous review, identification, development, and implementation of improvements into the environment to increase efficiency, quality, and speed of repair.

  • Communicate and translate functional/operational goals into team/individual objectives, and manage the implementation of policies and procedures.

  • Carry out, inspect and validate management administration tasks, such as time management and productivity measurement, personnel development, etc.

  • Manage directly and proactively a team of highly technical, distributed engineers.

  • Provide support/review and escalation for the direct team.

  • Monitor, optimize and report on resource and workforce management.

  • Collaborate with service delivery, network operation centers, account teams and various internal and external delivery and support teams to manage the service assurance function.

  • Manage business expenses and revenue to ensure profitability.

  • Ensure protection of customer proprietary network information and Verizon information assets

In this hybrid role you will have a defined work location of Cary, North Carolina that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager

You must have...

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Six or more years of experience managing a network repair / operations team

  • Experience with communications products and networking technologies.

  • Be located within commuting distance to the Cary, North Carolina office

  • The ability to work outside of normal office hours

  • Experience working with Layer 1/2 Telecommunications Technologies to include TDM/Ethernet/OTN/SONET/SDH.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A technical degree.

  • Knowledge of business processes (such as ITIL, Project Management) and the impact on the technical environment.

  • Ability to understand technical issue escalations.

  • Skills to perform complex work for a functional area and general knowledge of other areas within the organization.

  • Experience in coding/scripting

  • Experience in a telecommunications or technology company.

  • Experience managing a network operations team.

  • Ability to think independently using and applying principles, theories, concepts and technologies.

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities through experience in leading teams or projects to successfully achieve measurable results.
