The Sr Electrical Engineer that supports our Gyros Protein Technologies business has responsibility for the development of automated peptide synthesizer projects from concept phases all the way through to production and field support.

Key Job Responsibilities:



  • Stay updated on all relevant procedures linked to the role.
  • Design, testing and evaluation of electronics for new development projects.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation for electronics.
  • Handle issues dealing with electronics on released products.
  • Planning of daily work in line with development activities
  • Support service and manufacturing with troubleshooting support.
  • Maintain electronics CAD system and all electrical drawings documentation.
  • Analyze new functionality and suggest implementation strategies and time plans.
  • Create and maintain SOPs for maintaining the product, e.g. for service and production.
  • Training of Service personal when needed.
  • Suggest improvements to both the functionality and cost of the instrument
  • Planning of daily work
  • Implement functional designs according to specification.
  • Implement changes to correct reported defects within the products
  • Sign off test and training records. The authority is only valid for the process steps that are signed off in the training record


Qualifications/Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years of industry experience as an electrical engineer within the Life Science or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to independently act as project manager or team leader for Research and NPI projects
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into functional specifications
  • Ability to mentor other electrical engineers in best practices
  • Ability to mentor other electrical engineers by explaining the purpose of our different hardware products
  • Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts or CAPA cases and mentor other engineers in these processes


Compensation/Benefits:

The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and compensation for this position. The package includes base salary, bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k/Match.

Salary Range for this position is $90,000-$120,000
