Liquid Cylinder Technician

JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of this position is to maintain Arc3 Gases' liquid cylinder fleet.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transport cylinders to and from storage or sorting areas, loading docks, or delivery vehicles using a forklift.
• Assess liquid cylinders to determine necessary repairs.
• Work with a variety of hand tools.
• Bench test pressure components.
• Fill repaired cylinders with cryogenic liquid to perform post-repair operating and leak tests.
• Enter details of repairs into computer system.
• Operate cylinder buffing machine.
• Maintain inventory of repair parts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support fellow members of the Gas Plant team and perform other related duties as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diplomas or equivalent is required.
• Forklift license preferred.
• Self-motivated.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand and walk for eight-hour periods.
• Bend at the waist and knees frequently.
• Use full body force to tighten ratchet straps frequently.
• Loud noise levels.
• Exposed to all weather conditions.
