Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day handling of releasing records information and file maintenance in compliance with both federal/state regulations and HIPAA standards. Assignments/tasks are expected to be executed with considerable independence and maintain compliance with established facility policies and procedures, contract requirements, organization bylaws, and federal and state regulations/laws.

Role Requirements

* Associate's degree in related field and four (4) years of experience in any of the following areas: Data Entry Operation, Records, Business Administration, Contracts, Compliance, or Paralegal Studies. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must have proficient computer skills with an ability to use Microsoft Office to complete tasks, conduct legal research, document maintenance and preparation.
* Must have the ability to research a variety of sources and cases, gather information, read/understand case law, and inspect large volumes of paperwork.
* Must have significant discretion in processing and control of highly sensitive material.
* Must have a friendly, confident, and knowledgeable phone presence.
* Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
* Must be extremely detail oriented with a high level of accuracy while demonstrating the ability to resist distractions.
* Must have the ability to understand and present information to customers.
* Must have strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize responsibilities, and work on more than one case at a time.
* Must have the ability to work independently with good decision-making skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos and emails.
* Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
* Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside, a good driving record and be insurable under the corporate policy.
