Summary of Role:

Aquaphor is a leader in the Therapeutic skincare market, bringing Science & Medical expertise to millions of consumers. As the #1 Dermatologist Recommended brand for Wound Care and Dry, Cracked, Skin, this role requires an expert marketing leader given the complexity and size of the business. The Brand Manager, Medical Marketing reports to the Director of Medical Marketing and is key for the long-term development of the brand ambition. This marketer will bring skincare expertise to become the driving force and point of reference for the category. The Brand Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the business and identify new opportunities for growth via white space and innovation.

  • For local candidates: This role is based in Stamford, Connecticut, under a hybrid work model which is 3 days/week in office. Additional office days and business travel will be required, approximately 15-20% including some weekends.
  • For remote candidates: This role has the option to be remote-based for the right candidate (CST/EST time zones only). Additional travel will be required which includes approximately one week/month to the Stamford, CT, headquarters and/or travel to medical conferences, sales meetings, etc. Approximately 25% or 12 weeks/per year including some weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute to long-term brand strategy development for existing & new categories, including collaboration to find opportunities with Dermatologists, Pediatricians, and other target HCPs in disease state areas and clinical data to support brand growth and profitable success
  • Implement Marketing plans and executions to meet brand's objectives as well as Budget Management development and accountability
  • Strategic and conceptual advancement of product portfolio, with solid focus on Dermatology relevant innovation
  • Develop communication platforms and creative via briefings, workshops, and agency collaboration
  • Develop and lead medical activation via brand integrations, media plans, personal and non-personal medical communication, digital channels and medical convention
  • Define & steer market research plans aligned with strategic business needs
  • Be the medical marketing leader and point of contact with all cross-functional (internal) teams including Medical Sales, Consumer Marketing, Retail Sales, Finance, Supply chain, HCP Research, Shopper and customer marketing and external medical communication and creative agencies
  • Collaborate strongly with global Medical Management teams to bring clinical relevance, Impactful Medical Sales support materials and integrated digital impact based on local market
  • Identify and change direction quickly based on local Dermatologists' needs

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/BA in business or marketing within a medical related field; MBA with a focus in Marketing a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years brand management experience in Medical, B2B, Prescription or OTC and proven and successful collaboration with Medical Sales Teams
  • Start-up mentality capable to excel in fast-paced and uncertain environments
  • Well-versed and familiar with medical and skincare trends
  • Understanding of skin and the science of skincare, as well as experience with the Professional/Key opinion leaders (dermatologists, doctors, and pharmacists)
  • Experience working with Medical Sales Representatives and Sales Managers
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing fundamentals, critical thinking abilities, and analytical skills
  • Experience in financial analysis and strong abilities in P&L, SOI, and Budget management
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, comfortable to interact with C-level executives
  • Must have a strong focus on achieving goals and be well-organized, showing the ability to encourage and motivate others even without direct supervision
  • Proficient knowledge using MS Office suite
