You'll help shape our design strategy and elevate our digital products to provide best-in-class user experiences. As an Experience Design Lead, you'll play a critical role in defining our digital product design strategy, managing high-impact projects, and contributing to our design system to deliver cohesive, user-centered experiences. You'll lead other designers and work closely with agency partners, taking projects from ideation to launch and partnering with Product, Engineering, and Business teams. - User-Centered Design: Conduct design research, create personas, and develop wireframes and prototypes to bring user journeys to life. Use data and feedback to iterate and improve designs continuously.
- End-to-End Ownership: Own the design process from concept through to final implementation, ensuring consistency across platforms and products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to align on goals, constraints, and timelines. Foster strong relationships to influence and drive design solutions that meet both user and business needs.
- Design System Evolution: Collaborate with other designers to evolve and maintain the design system, improving the consistency of our users' experiences across various products.
- Usability Testing and Data Analysis: Conduct usability testing, synthesize findings, and iterate designs based on insights. Review product metrics to validate and optimize user experiences.
- Visual Design and Branding: Ensure all designs align with brand guidelines and our design system while pushing creative boundaries to deliver innovative solutions.
- Documentation and Specifications: Create detailed design specifications and documentation to ensure smooth implementation by the engineering team.
- Strategic Vision and Leadership: Shape the overall design direction and contribute to high-level discussions about product roadmaps, ensuring that design efforts are aligned with company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5-10 years of product design experience, ideally within a technology or digital-first company, with at least a few years in a lead or senior role. Experience in SaaS or highly regulated industries is a plus.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX and UI design across digital platforms, with a focus on systems thinking and cohesive design solutions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD, with knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) as a plus. Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Highcharts.js) and familiarity with marketing and sales tech stacks (Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) is also beneficial. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, as presentation and production design tools to support digital product design, is also a plus.

- Communication and Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and to communicate design concepts effectively.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $148,045-$236,872
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
