More About the Role:
Leidos currently has an opening on the Service Management Integration and Transport (SMIT) Contract for a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Resource Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience and leadership skills to successfully execute the mission of the Navy's largest IT services program. Under the SMIT Contract, the Leidos team is responsible for the core backbone for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, network engineering, service desk, seat support services, and data transport.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the resources needed for the SRE team to operate efficiently and effectively. This includes overseeing budget allocation, coordinating tool procurement, and ensuring that the team has the necessary infrastructure to maintain system reliability and performance. You will work closely with SREs, engineering teams, and leadership to align resources with organizational goals and priorities.

What You'll Get to Do:
*Serve as the primary point of contact for resource-related inquiries within the SRE team and other departments.
*Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align resource needs with development schedules and operational requirements.
*Communicate resource strategies, allocations, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and understanding. Assess the resource needs of the SRE team, including personnel, tools, software, and infrastructure, and develop resource plans accordingly.
*Collaborate with team leads and management to prioritize resource allocation based on project needs, operational requirements, and strategic initiatives.
*Monitor resource utilization and adjust allocations as necessary to optimize performance and efficiency.
*Develop and manage the people resources budget for the SRE team with the CAM, ensuring that expenditures align with organizational priorities and financial constraints.
*Work with finance and leadership to track expenses, forecast future needs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
*Work with subcontracts leadership to managed subcontractors and approve timesheets in the SLICS/SLATE system.
*Prepare regular reports on resource utilization and budget status for senior management.
*Work with the SRE Functional Manager to ensure that the SRE team resources have access to the necessary infrastructure (e.g., cloud resources, on-premises servers) to perform their duties effectively.
*Work with the SRE Functional Manager setting performance expectations, and fostering professional development.
*Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to resource utilization, efficiency, and team productivity.
*Identify areas for improvement in resource management processes and implement best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
*Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and suggestions from the SRE team regarding resource needs and processes.
*Meet regularly with your team members, participate in performance reviews and interviews, and development planning.
*Identify training and development needs for SRE team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to leverage resources effectively.
*Coordinate training programs and resources to support the professional growth and development of the SRE team.
*Strive to provide internal and external customers with excellent customer service and world-class service.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
*Requires BS degree in Business, IT, Human Resources 5-8 years resource or operations leadership, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
*US Citizen with DoD Secret Clearance.
*Minimum of DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification required prior to onboarding and must maintain certification while supporting the SMIT Contract.
*Exceptional written and oral communication skills including producing reports, presentations and executive level briefings with internal stakeholders.
*Experience managing budgets, resource allocation, and subcontractor vendor relationships.
*Working knowledge of MS Office suite of tools, Jira, and Confluence.
*Familiarity with site reliability engineering principles and/or DevOps practices and the tools and technology utilized by the SRE resources.
*Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), ATOs, and DISA STIGs.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
*Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) or resource management.
*Experience with Leidos financial management tools and budget tracking software and cost accounting practices.
*Experience in high-growth environments or managing teams during significant scaling periods.
*Familiarity with ITIL principles, agile and scrum principles or certification in these areas.
