RN Specialized - Per Diem Cardiology - Anderson Medical Pavilion

This is a casual position. No weekends or holidays. Schedule to be discussed during interview. Located at the Anderson Medical Pavilion (AMP) in La Jolla. This position is primarily administrative with very little direct face-to-face patient care.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrate compassionate care during patient assessments and care tasks, including specific procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
• Work the inbaskets/messages for the majority of the shift
• Learn about cardiac devices, tilt tables, triaging, and read device alerts.
• Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience.
• Provides direct patient care to high acuity patients in a complex department within the scope of practice.
• Engages in complex clinical procedures and may provide clinical assessments to surgical patients in the hospital setting. Patient care includes:
  
  
  
  • compliance with patient assessments and care tasks
  • triaging
  • completion of clinical procedures
  • emergency protocols and medication administration
  
  
  
  
• Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Current California RN License
• BLS and ACLS from American Heart Association
• Graduate from an Accredited Nursing Program

Preferred Experience:

• Cardiology experience
