The Quality, Analytical, and Inventory Specialist will play an integral part in the Dalton Operations Team. This role will be responsible for ensuring that quality control systems are in place and that quality activities are carried out efficiently, and to ensure analytical equipment is properly selected, calibrated and in good working order.



Responsibilities

* Track and balance inventory levels (daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly) using process control systems and SAP to maintain SOX compliance.
* Lead root cause investigations for analytical equipment issues, inventory discrepancies, and quality claims.
* Organize and facilitate meetings and teams to resolve issues and drive projects to completion.
* Serve as the subject matter expert for analytical equipment, lab processes, inventory control, and quality management systems.
* Oversee logistics operations, including raw material offloading, finished product loading, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Manage logistics technician roles and ensure accurate SAP documentation for latex and raw materials (hazardous truck, railcars and tote) handling.
* Keep record of, report on, and ensure produced latex has met or exceeded all customer expectations and is within specified limits and ready for pickup/shipment on the customer's timelines. Expert-level utilization of systems such as ABB, SAP, etc. to track, trend, or to generate graphics that will be used in reporting.
* Responsible for Dalton Latex quality. Act as an ambassador to ensure that quality control systems are in place and are followed. Reviews production manufacturing results to ensure production material is within specification to ensure quality material is delivered to customers. Coordinates the sampling of non-conforming material and coordinates blending of non-conforming material and keeps records of such. Assigning goals, providing feedback, coaching, and guidance to employees to maintain Dalton Latex Safety, Quality, and Production Requirements.
* Oversees maintenance of all lab equipment including the Solids Analyzer, GC, FTIR, pH Meter, Particle Size Nanotrac. Ensures all lab equipment are within calibration and our calibration program is followed and up to date. Identifies and schedules outside service providers to ensure equipment is maintained, ready for use, and in excellent working order.
* Conducts Month End Closing Reconciliation for the plant. Provides and produces data that Controlling uses for quarterly and yearly SOX Compliance requirements.
* Cover logistic tech role when needed for sick time, meetings, annual physicals, or short notice vacation.
* The Latex Quality, Analytical, and Inventory Specialist must establish strong relationships with: Site personnel, Improvement Engineer, Activity Coordinator, R&D, TS&D, trucking companies, and the Railroad (CSX).
* In alignment with overarching strategies and existing management work process requirements, the incumbent has significant freedom, authority, and decision-making discretion in accomplishing assigned goals.
* Focal point for logistics personnel as well as contractors to safe and healthy operation of Dalton Latex Plant. Needs to have the right approach to seek feedback from Plant personnel and Research and Development.



Qualifications

* Must have High School diploma (or equivalent). Degree in business, science, or technical area of focus is a plus.
* Minimum of 5 years combined analytical, chemical, Latex, or Logistics experience.
* Exceptional teamwork, leadership, verbal, written, and oral communication skills.
* Proficient understanding of computers, measurement systems, lab equipment, chemical processes, lab safety, digital interfaces
* Excellent investigative skills (RCA/RCI) and application of NIOSH "Hierarchy of Controls".
* Initiative and Teamwork - ability to lead, communicate, influence, and participate in teams to drive toward solutions
* Ability to lead projects and work with remote teams.
* Lab equipment calibration knowledge.
* Process Safety knowledge (LOPA, LPP, Hazop, CEI, FEI)
* Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, LPP, LOPA, Engineering Guidelines.
* Latex Technology experience is preferred.
* Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
* Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to influence and motivate other employees without direct supervisory control must be well-developed.
