Inova Alexandria Hospital is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician 2 on Postpartum Unit. This role will be full time Day shift from Monday - Friday, rotating weekends, 6am - 6.30pm.

Job Responsibilities


  • Provides direct care to patients whose care requirements are routine and standardized, with predictable outcomes, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse
  • Effectively communicates with health team members, patients and families; Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
  • Assists unit leadership with overseeing other unit Clinical Technician education records.
  • Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
  • Maintains competencies and seeks opportunities to develop professionally.
  • Identifies own learning needs based on self-evaluation and the progress made from the previous year's goals.
  • Assumes responsibility for self-development in life long learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.


Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Full Time (6am - 6.30pm)
Training: Ideal candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training course

Requirements



  • Experience: 1-year acute care experience as a Clinical Tech or clinical rotation with an accredited nursing program and/or 2 years of nursing school
  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • Training: Candidate must be able to attend six week training orientation upon hire.
  • Special Skills: Proficient in English. Verbal and written communication skills required.
