Accounting and Finance Internship - Summer 2025

Red Wing Shoe Company is excited to announce our 2025 Internship Program! The program is designed to offer you meaningful work that will prepare you for your career. You'll get to see first-hand how our corporate teams develop strategies and practices that support our retail and manufacturing partners, and customers worldwide.

This position will offer a hybrid work structure. You will need to live within commutable distance to Red Wing, MN as you'll be working on site 1-2 days per week (on average). Standard work hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-1pm.

Compensation is $25/hr.

What to Expect:

Our Accounting & Finance team will have two interns who will collaborate on key corporate initiatives within Supply Chain Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis. The interns will collaborate on advancing our AI and automation initiatives, streamline cross-functional reporting and advance our data analytics capabilities.

As a Supply Chain Finance Intern, you will:

• Data Automation and Reporting: Streamline manual reporting processes by leveraging tools like BI and OneStream to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Cost and Efficiency Analysis: Support company initiatives aligning manufacturing operations with cost-saving and efficiency KPI metrics.
• Bill of Materials Optimization: Assist in developing new Bill of Materials formulations to support realigned manufacturing processes and improve operational effectiveness.

As a Financial Planning & Analysis Intern, you will:

• Data Analytics Alignment: Strengthen collaboration between FP&A and Revenue Operations by unifying data analytics and reporting processes for consistency and accuracy.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work across Finance and Revenue Operations teams to eliminate duplication of efforts and ensure uniformity in reporting structures.
• Channel Reporting Development: Assist in creating a comprehensive P&L reporting framework, including assumptions and new channel structures for Industrial, DTC, and Wholesale.

In addition to the projects you'll be assigned within your department, the 2025 intern cohort will work together on a group project, solving a real world problem we're facing at Red Wing Shoe Company. Over the course of the summer, you'll meet for a few hours each week with your cohort to gather insights, conduct research, and form a recommendation which will be presented to our leadership team at the conclusion of the program.

We're looking for students who meet the following requirements:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance & accounting with a specific emphasis in Data Analytics.
• Enrolling as a Sophomore, Junior or Senior in the 2025-2026 academic year
• Interest in finance, accounting, business technology & systems
