Processing Clerk CLS 5:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. M-TH
Position Summary Responsible for the physical application of processing components to products such as books, CDs and DVDs in a quality oriented manner in order to prepare product for library shelving and distribution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management): Application of components such as labels, ink stamping, and protective jackets over hard cover books per library specifications to prepare product for library shelving and distribution. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibility. Qualifications
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms and occasionally walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Must regularly push, pull or lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally push, pull or lift up to 40 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
