Overview

The National Assistant Director, Fundraising Campaigns for The Kids Mental Health Foundation (KMHF) will support the National Director of Fundraising Campaigns and the Senior Vice President of Outreach and Annual Giving in executing fundraising and managing stewardship efforts for both national and local corporate partners. This role focuses on building and enhancing relationships with corporate partners, fostering connections at both the individual and company levels. Additionally, the Assistant Director will play a key role in supporting select fundraising events and programs designed to benefit Kids Mental Health Foundation initiatives. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills are essential for this position, as well as the ability to cultivate positive interpersonal relationships. The Assistant Director will report directly to the National Director of Fundraising Programs. Significant travel outside of Ohio.

Responsibilities

    Assist with the Foundation's corporate partnership efforts to build brand awareness both regionally and nationally by executing fundraising events, campaigns, and stewardship programs.
  • Coordinate and manage the recruitment, communication, and training of volunteers for select events and campaigns, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
  • Responsible for coordinating and communicating visits and celebrations with corporate partners nationwide, focusing on stewardship and campaign execution. Responsible 75% of store visits. Significant travel across the U.S. during key periods of the year.
  • Develop standards and metrics for stewardship activities and store visits.
  • Responsible for the solicitation, management, and stewardship of local corporate partners for KMHF fundraising campaigns, identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
  • Track corporate fundraising participation and feedback, providing regular updates to internal teams, partners, and leadership. Develop campaign and stewardship recommendations based on feedback received.
  • Support the stewardship of sponsors, fundraisers, and donors for select KMHF events, including the 5K for Kids' Mental Health.
  • Manage The Kids Mental Health Foundation storefront and fulfillment process.
  • Provide support for fundraising events and execution stewardship as assigned, including but not limited to the 5K for Kids' Mental Health.
  • Oversee vendor and inventory management for The Kids Mental Health Foundation e-store, including promotional and stewardship items and materials.
  • Manage the KMHF fundraising communications calendar and content creation in collaboration with the Nationwide Hospital Foundation and KMHF communications teams, including social media, email, print, and digital materials.


Qualifications

Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent accredited college graduate degree, required.
Licensure Requirement:
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Skills:
  • Working knowledge of cause-related marketing, fundraising, sponsorships, employee engagement, and retail marketing tactics.
  • Experience in a health-related or nonprofit environment preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently required.
  • Experience with project management preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable with people of all ages and backgrounds. Must be equally comfortable with public speaking and one-on-one communication.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, devotion to Hospital mission and on-going personal education and development.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to be a team player and display diplomacy/political savvy.
  • Ability to be entrusted with personal and confidential information and make ethical decisions.
  • Must reflect the values of Nationwide Children's Hospital Foundation at all times, with particular emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, integrity, and honesty.
Experience:
  • One to three years of experience in a non-profit environment
  • Retail or Customer Service experience preferred
  • Content creation and copywriting experience, preferred.
  • Experience in a health-related or nonprofit environment, preferred.
  • Experience with project management preferred
  • Content creation and copy writing experience preferred.
