The Account Executive is responsible for "outside" sales and growth of Tyler MyCivic and Tyler Payments products and services to new prospective customers. This role has a direct impact on Tyler's revenue. The Account Executive must be able to successfully differentiate Tyler's solutions to new clients and manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract.
The sales territory for the position is California and the West Coast states.
Responsibilities
  • Develops knowledge of Tyler products and services to gain a thorough understanding of products and services.
  • Markets to prospective clients to determine needs and interest in purchasing Tyler products and services.
  • Successfully builds relationships with prospective clients to sell products and services
  • Explains capabilities, answer questions, and research issues in support of selling products and services.
  • Manages sales cycles from lead generation to close of the sale.
  • Travels to trade shows and/or client sites as needed. This is expected to exceed 50% of the job.
  • Assists with the preparation of RFP responses.
  • Meets a pre-set annual sales quota.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Manage the sales cycle in order to respond/act in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff as well as existing and potential clients.
  • Show professionalism when dealing with all aspects of internal and external relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous sales experience in the software industry is required.
  • Must possess a competitive drive and results-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.Previous public speaking experience is a plus,particularly at CXO level
  • Must be a self-starter in addition to being a team player.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and employees required.
  • Must possess general computer (PC) literacy and proficiency with MS Office products.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of ERP software marketplace

State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements

Salary will generally fall between $53,081 - $100,000 before adjustment for geographic differences. Recruiter can confirm if position is incentive eligible.
