The Position
2025 Summer Intern - Proteomic and Genomic Technologies Department Summary The Proteomic & Genomic Technologies Department is seeking a highly motivated summer intern to support projects within the immunopeptidome and surface proteomics group. Our group develops and uses mass spectrometry based methods to investigate peptide and protein changes and we are also investigating novel protein non mass spectrometry based sequencing technologies. This internship position is located in South San Francisco, on-site. The Opportunity In this hands-on role, the candidate will participate in an investigative project that explores novel protein sequencing approaches and its potential application to the drug discovery pipeline at Genentech. The candidate will evaluate this technology when applying it to protein identification and quantification as well as post translational modifications. More specifically, the candidate will perform work related to method optimization and the development of quantitative methods for novel protein sequencing approaches. The candidate will partake in group and department meetings to discuss project findings. Program Highlights

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $25.00-$45.00 per hour.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
