* * ****Because an active DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required**** *Description:* System Administrators at the Force Tracking Mission Management Center ensure the secure, reliable, and continuous operation of mission-critical systems that support national defense. Through vigilant cybersecurity practices, proactive system maintenance, and strict adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) policies, system administrators safeguard the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of vital information and resources. Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, systems remain resilient against evolving cyber threats, enabling the Force Tracking Mission Management Center to effectively support and enhance national defense capabilities. *Responsibilities:* * Working in conjunction with the Cyberspace IT Team, the day-to-day duties include: * Administration of Microsoft servers, workstations, and network infrastructure, including troubleshooting, break-fix activities, patching, and remediation of servers and workstations, along with system audit log reviews. * RHEL System Administration: Performing updates, patch management, and troubleshooting of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, ensuring system security and access to trusted updates. * Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) System Administration: Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting TAK applications to support operational requirements, ensuring continuous functionality for mission-critical tasks. * Installing and configuring software and hardware as required. * Managing network servers and technology tools. * Setting up accounts and workstations as required. * Troubleshooting issues and outages. * Upgrading systems with new releases and software installs. * Conducting server builds. * Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues. * Applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) as required. * Managing Microsoft Active Directory, GPO management, Certificate Administration, and Domain Controller Functional services. * Communicating detailed technical information on troubleshooting and implementation efforts. *Required Skills and Qualifications: * * Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, including experience with RHEL systems. * Active Top-Secret clearance with Top Secret SCI eligibility upon hire, with the ability to maintain this level of clearance. * DoD 8570 IAT II (CompTIA Security+ CE) or higher. * DoD Computing environment certification. * Experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft tools. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work unsupervised. *Desired Skills and Qualifications: * * BS Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. * Managing the installation, configuration, monitoring, security, backup, user access, software updates, network settings, performance tuning, troubleshooting, automation, documentation, compliance, and collaboration of RHEL systems to ensure their efficient and secure operation. * Ability to automate tasks using PowerShell. * Experience with virtual machine technologies (e.g., ESXi, VCenter, Vsphere) * Familiarity with Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) systems. * Database experience (MS SQL, PostgreSQL). * Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS. *Skills:* System administrator, Windows server, Linux, Server administrator, Clearance, Top Secret, Secret Security Clearance, stig, Software defined Radio, ACAS, SCAP, Windows, Manage engine, ettus, GNU Radio, sec+, domain, Gots, Cots, SCCM, HBSS, VMWare, AWS, Azure **Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
