Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in biology or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience performing routine molecular biology procedures, including but not limited to PCR, cell culture and/or isolation of cells from tissues. Experience maintaining transgenic mouse lines (e.g., blood collection, genotype PCR). Laboratory management experience (ordering, aliquoting, organization, etc).
Brief Description of Duties: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate candidate to work in hematology, cardiology, and immunology research. This position will provide unique training experience in both in vitro and in vivo assay systems to study normal and neoplastic hematopoiesis, cardiovascular diseases, and immune modulation. There will also be opportunities for career development training and mentorship to help the candidate progress to a career in biomedical sciences.
Duties:
- Perform cell culture studies, DNA and RNA purification, PCR, western blotting, flow cytometry and data analysis.
- Manage transgenic mice colonies.
- Assist with lab organization, order lab supplies and maintain supply inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
