Overview **Offering sign on bonus** 0.75 FTE, working an average of 30 hours per week Night shift Competitive benefits package & pay offered based on experience level **This position provides the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience as you are assigned shifts in the Emergency Department, Pediatric ICU and the inpatient floors.** Respiratory Therapists specialize in the promotion of optimum cardiopulmonary function and health. They apply scientific principles to prevent, identify, and treat acute or chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system. All goals are to ensure best patient outcomes. Respiratory Therapists are authorized to access the unit medication rooms or bedside medication drawers in order to retrieve medications they are authorized to administer. Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of the scientific principles underlying cardiopulmonary physiology and pathophysiology, as well as biomedical engineering and technology
Qualifications LICENSURE: Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed through the NBRC with licensure to practice in the State of Ohio by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board. EDUCATION: Associate's degree from and AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program.CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess and maintain current CPR card, and obtain and maintain PALS certification. SKILLS: Effective communication and interpersonal skills required in interactions with patients and parents, and hospital staff. Ability to work under general supervision.
