The primary role of the Billing Support Specialist III is to perform administrative tasks in support of the client's billing department. Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to the centralized billing inbox
- Perform time edits
- Respond to billing inquiries or redirect to the appropriate biller
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, providing analysis of financial and historical data
- Provide backup billing assistance when the Biller is out of the office
- Assist in obtaining timekeeper approval for Billing clients
- Prepare invoices according to client billing guidelines
- Respond to inquiries timely and effectively
- Prioritize and meet aggressive deadlines while handling a high volume of work
- Build, maintain, and deliver professional customer service and maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contact. This position requires routine communication with client contacts, and other personnel, both inside and outside the firm
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School or GED
- More than 2 years of relevant billing, accounting, or financial experience directly related to the duties of the position
- Experience with Aderant/CMS, Elite, or similar software
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to interact with clients in a professional, service-oriented manner
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work within established deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and look for opportunities to provide additional support
- Experience with some sort of billing platform/software
- Experience with various e-billing vendor portals preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems independently
Additional Information
The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $60000 - $70000 annually. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
