As aPrelicensure Clinical Instructor, you'll play a crucial role in mentoring and teaching future healthcare professionals while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Qualifications: This position is located ONSITE in Dallas, Texas

Minimum:

• MSN degree and current, unencumbered license
• Two years of relevant professional experience.
• This role will serve as a demonstrated subject matter expert in job-relevant content or practice area

Preferred:

• Doctorate, or terminal degree in a specific content area.
• Strong experience with distance education and distance learning students is preferred.
• Holds all applicable licenses or certifications.
• Prior experience in clinical teaching/nursing education.

Department Specific Minimum Qualifications, Leavitt School of Health:

• Master's degree in nursing; Education is verified.
• Two years minimum clinical nursing experience
• Work history demonstrating continuous advancement and success in roles requiring creative problem solving and collaboration.
• Active, unencumbered license in designated state
• State and federal legislative requirements and college accreditation requirements may apply to maintain the necessary credentialing for this role.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Specific requirements of the job such as travel and the environment in which the job is performed.

Travel:

• The full time position is an on-site clinical instructor role requiring daily travel to clinical sites for the duration of the clinical day (usually three 12-hour shifts per week but could vary by rotation and location). Travel will be required for all shifts within the assigned district.

Additional Information:

• Travel within the assigned clinical district will be required. If travel is greater than 20 miles, one way, mileage will be reimbursed. Parking fees will be reimbursed.
