PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as receptionist and initial spokesperson for the Department, screening calls and responding to patient/visitor inquiries; providing information and resolving problems, when appropriate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as initial contact for Patient Services, screening calls and visitor inquiries, answer questions, furnish information and resolve problems, when appropriate.
  • Coordinate management of patientsrsquo; belongings/valuables within Patient Services.
  • Coordinate the hospitalrsquo;s program for foreign and sign language interpretation services.
  • Facilitate and coordinate amenities/services that support and enhance positive patient experiences.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Associatersquo;s degree or three years of experience working in a service-oriented organization, preferably in a healthcare setting required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION: NA EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Two to four years of customer service experience; healthcare-related experience preferred.
