Corporate Compliance Risk Assessment Specialist
The Corporate Compliance Risk Assessment Specialist reports to the Senior Manager of Corporate Compliance Risk Assessment and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of the Corporate Compliance Risk Assessment (CCRA) Program. This includes managing templates and data inputs, overseeing the execution of the CCRA for their assigned business coverage area, and assisting with drafting policies, procedures, results and management reporting. This role will also lead the management of the compliance controls inventory (CCI).
Position Responsibilities:
Controls Inventory Management


  • Manage the overall CCI program; this includes developing and implementing procedures, processes, and trainings to maintain and regularly update the CCI.
  • Develop and lead the execution of project plans to collect compliance controls across the firm on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on compliance controls to ensure each control meets the requirements of the minimum control standards.
  • Manage the process to ensure connectivity of the CCI with risk assessment programs including the CCRA and RCSA.
  • Lead training efforts for the first and second line of defense with respect to identifying and documenting controls that can be mapped to compliance risk.


Corporate Compliance Risk Assessments


  • Lead the execution of the CCRA for the assigned business coverage area and escalate any issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of the CCRA for the assigned business coverage area, including providing credible challenge to risk ratings and rationales for assessment units.
  • Lead meetings with relevant stakeholders in the First and Second Lines of Defense to understand products, services, and clients and how it impacts related risks and controls.
  • Ensure key risks and business lines are mapped to relevant rules and regulations.
  • Work with various stakeholders across the First and Second Lines of Defense to create management action plans to address control gaps that were identified during the CCRA process.

Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or 4 years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of Risk Management or other related experience in the Financial Services Industry
  • 5 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance or risk management in financial services or a related industry
  • 2 years of experience working with Compliance Risk Assessments and Controls Inventory

For candidates hired in the state of California, Colorado, Washington, New York, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, or Massachusetts the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently:



  • New Jersey - $92,000 - $172,500 Annually
