EnviroVantage is growing and looking for Asbestos Technician.

Essential Functions:



  • Execute specific asbestos/demolition tasks as instructed
  • Clean and prepare project sites
  • Work off ladders, lifts or scaffolding and with mechanical equipment as needed
  • Operate hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Focused on SAFETY at all times


Experience:



  • Minimum of 2 years construction experience required
  • Asbestos Worker Certification required
  • OSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred; If not current, willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
  • Experience with construction hand tools required
  • Experience working outside during all seasons and in all-weather required
  • Able to pass pre-employment post-offer physical
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized, hardworking and motivated
  • Strong team player with positive attitude


Working Environment/Physical Demands:



  • Coordination: Ability to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites
  • Attendance: Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are an essential job function
  • Working Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, pollution and toxic atmospheres
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator, and participate in OSHA-required medical surveillance programs as necessary
  • Lifting: Ability to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
  • Climbing: Ability to climb temporary or permanent stairs and ladders
  • Regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
